Simeon Lagodich
A native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Lagodich is an American realist painter and frame designer who completed post-graduate studies at the Brooklyn Museum School of Art, New York City. Lagodich oil paintings, watercolors, prints and frames hang in major corporate and private collections; and his artwork has been reproduced in a number of books featuring American realist painters.
Lagodich is an expert in period frame styles, gilding and restoration techniques. He lectures on the subject of period frame history, fabrication and restoration; gives gallery talks and conducts hands-on period frame clinics for selected museum, institutional, and private groups.
One of few real authorities in his field, Lagodich has served annually (since its inception, January 2000) on the Frame Vetting Committee for the world-renowned East Side Settlement Winter Antiques Show, New York City.
